The board of the Washington-area Metrorail system is set to debate the use of 50 new rail cars on lines that serve Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. While Metro staff members have proposed using most of the cars on the system’s three busiest lines, board members are expected to argue to get the most cars for their districts, according to the Washington Post. The Metro is expecting another 134 cars to be delivered over the next two years.
