Officials in Wayne County, Mich., say the county’s program to seize neglected properties in the Detroit area and sell them to whomever promises to renovate them is improving the city. However, critics say the county’s Nuisance Abatement Program threatens property rights and could be challenged in court, according to The Detroit News.
