Mile High City an ideal place for singles
For the young and single, Denver is the place to be. That is the conclusion from New York-based Forbes.com, at least, which released results of its Best Cities for Singles 2006 survey in July. Forbes ranked 40 major American cities based on the percentage of young, unmarried people in the population, as well as the cities’ cultural facilities, nightlife, job growth, cost of living and opportunities for online dating. Denver scored especially high in the cost of living and online dating categories, though it was only No. 2 in both cases. According to the list, bachelors and bachelorettes hoping to meet that special someone stand the least chance in Greensboro, N.C., which came in at No. 40 on the list in general and in the nightlife category.
