Wild horses from Western rangelands will be on site and available for adoption SEPT. 8-10 in Ewing IL.. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management, the horses can be viewed from 8 to 5 p.m. Sept 8, 9, and 10 at the Eastern States Holding Facility, located five miles east of Ewing, Ill., at 22295 Sheep Farm Road.
Horse number 1291 up for adoption is a Gray, 4-year-old gelding, 14.1 hands high, captured at Salt Wells Creek, WY. Call 800 370-3936 for more information.
From Interstate 57, take exit 77 east (S.R. 154), turn north on State Route 37 and go one mile, turn east (right) on Ewing Road, go eight miles (three miles past the town of Ewing,) and turn north (left) onto Sheep Farm Road, go 1.5 miles. The facility is at the intersection of Sheep Farm Road and Bobtail Road.
