An analysis of change of address forms by the U.S. Postal Services shows that the number of New Orleanians returning to the city after fleeing Hurricane Katrina has slowed. The number of returnees in the three months preceeding June 30 rose by only 2,000, a drop from the previous three-month period, according to The Times-Picayune. Some officials say they expected the number or returnees to plateau, anyway, and the new analysis doesn’t include new arrivals in the city.
