Colorado town raises building height limit
Louisville, Colo., has decided that 29 feet just isn’t tall enough for a building
Louisville, Colo., has decided that 29 feet just isn’t tall enough for a building. The city council has decided to increase its 29-foot limit on building height, set in 1998, to 45 feet to eliminate the need for long approval hearings for buildings that exceed the previous limit but are still compatible with the downtown’s character, according to the Denver Post. The president of the business association for the small town just north of Denver says she hopes the change will mean more space for retail development.
