The chairman of the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority agreed to resign hours before a termination hearing with Gov. Mitt Romney. Chairman Matthew Amorello has been under fire during the past two weeks in connection with a ceiling collapse in a Big Dig connector tunnel that killed a female motorist, according to the Boston Globe. Amorello will receive a six-month severance package with health insurance.
