An audit has shown improvement in the way the non-profit group Animal Care and Control of New York has been caring for the city’s strays, but issues still remain. According to The New York Times, those issues include a failure to properly clean the animals’ cages, housing sick animals with well ones and losing track of more than 250 animals within the system. The group has acknowledged the problems and promises to improve.
