Baldwin County, Ala., is one of the state’s fastest growing areas, but officials are concerned that a private sewer company on its south side won’t be able to handle the increasing load. Records show that one of the Baldwin County Sewer Service’s wastewater treatment plants has reached maximum capacity six times since March 2005, and a second plant has yet to be built, according to the Mobile Press Register. The issue comes several months before a vote on a state amendment that would allow the county to regulate private sewer systems. http://www.al.com/news/mobileregister/index.ssf?/base/news/1147770968318680.xml&coll=3
