A lawsuit against New York City and Schaumburg, Mo.-based Motorola brought by families of firefighters killed on Sept. 11 will not be allowed to go forward, the Supreme Court ruled today. According to the Associated Press, the lawsuit claimed the city and the company supplied the rescuers with faulty radios, which prevented them from hearing evacuation orders at the World Trade Center. However, the high court upheld a lower appellate court ruling that said the families waived their rights to sue when they accepted money from the Sept. 11 Victim Compensation Fund. Yahoo! News
