Following record rainfalls, the Rhode Island Department of Management is seeking injunctions against owners of two damaged dams that would require them to hire engineers to help lower water levels at the sites and address other safety issues.
Following record rainfalls, the Rhode Island Department of Management is seeking injunctions against owners of two damaged dams that would require them to hire engineers to help lower water levels at the sites and address other safety issues. According to the Boston Globe, regulators also are planning to ask the state Legislature to consider a law that would force dam owners to have emergency plans in case their dams collapse.
