On Monday, the 8-million-gallon, $250 million Georgia Aquarium opened to season passholders, with general admission beginning Wednesday. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the aquarium, which houses more than 100,000 fish, has drawn protests from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, as well as area homeless.
