Audio cues inform driver of vehicle’s backup distance
Micro vehicle reversing aids emit 2 audio signals to inform driver about objects or people in rear of vehicle. Each model tells driver, in a clear voice, whether the distance from an obstacle is 8, 5, 3, 2 , or 1 ft. from vehicle, or in the midst of crashing with rear of vehicle. Also emits beeping signals that increase in pulse frequency as vehicle comes closer to obstacle. Fits a variety of cars, mini vans, pickup trucks, and other vehicles. Helps reduce injuries to people, as well as damage to vehicle, caused by driver not seeing obstacles when backing up vehicle. Can detect an object as narrow as a 4-in.-wide pole. Includes 3 ultrasonic sensors that minimize blind spots. To install, add sensors to back of vehicle, connect wiring, and mount speaker anywhere inside vehicles passenger compartment. Runs on 11 to 15 v. d.c. Consumes just 3 w. of power.
