Senator stops opposing anti-nuclear dump efforts
Nevada Sen. Harry Reid has announced that he will no longer oppose efforts from Utah lawmakers to create a wilderness area that could block a nuclear waste site in the state being proposed by a group of electric utilities.
Nevada Sen. Harry Reid has announced that he will no longer oppose efforts from Utah lawmakers to create a wilderness area that could block a nuclear waste site in the state being proposed by a group of electric utilities. According to The Salt Lake Tribune, the Cedar Mountain Wilderness Area would prevent the Bureau of Land Management from approving a necessary rail line to the site that would store 44,000 tons of nuclear fuel.
