The board that oversees the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power is pushing for renewable energy to make up 20 percent of electricity sold by 2010. According to the Los Angeles Times, the City Council previously set the same goal for 2017, and some members and agency officials think the new deadline might be too ambitious.
