Some states are taking issue with an announcement from the federal government that beginning next year they will have to help finance the new Medicare prescription drug benefit. According to The New York Times, those states are arguing that the federal government has over-calculated their bills, which nationally total $6 billion for the current fiscal year and $124 billion for 2006 through 2015.
