A coalition supporting stem cell research currently is working to gather the 139,181 to 151,619 signatures necessary to put a state constitutional amendment on Missouri’s November 2006 ballot. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the amendment, if approved, would guarantee the legality of all stem cell research and therapy in Missouri that is legal under federal law.
