Hawaii governor wants money returned to taxpayers
With the state $486 million in the black at the end of June, Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle has proposed returning some of the money to taxpayers.
With the state $486 million in the black at the end of June, Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle has proposed returning some of the money to taxpayers. According to the Honolulu Advertiser, Lingle’s initiatives include increasing the standard income tax deduction to $2,500 from $1,500 for individuals and to $5,000 from $1,900 for couples.
