Windows withstand hurricane force to protect public buildings and occupants
Hurricane Series now includes 3250i-HP Insulbar out-swing and fixed, thermal-barrier aluminum windows. Impact-tested design resists hurricanes, tornadoes, and other high-wind conditions to protect a variety of public buildings, including schools. Custom configurations can consist of almost any punched opening or horizontal ribbon stacked combination of fixed, awning, and casement windows. Maximum frame dimensions extend to 59 ins. wide or 98 ins. high, in load capacities up to 90 p.s.f. Aluminum frames accept paint in a choice of dual color finishes to match exterior or interior color schemes, including custom colors. Options include window screens, between-glass grids, and built-in Venetian blinds to control sunlight entering building. Operable design allows windows to open for adding fresh air and sunshine to building interior. Meets sustainable-design criteria of U.S. Green Building LEED program.
