INTERMEC TECHNOLOGIES CORP., Everett, Wash., has been contracted to provide passive UHF RFID fixed, mounted and transportable readers to support the Department of Defense and the U.S. Coast Guard. The contract, administered by the U.S. Army, calls for a line of advanced mobile computing, wireless communications, data collection systems and services to all federal agencies and branches of the DoD.

NORAD, the North American Aerospace and Defense Command, has equipped its new command center at the Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station (CMAFS) with PC Blades from CLEARCUBE TECHNOLOGY, Austin, Texas, to help officers to process real-time threat information more quickly.

PHOTRON USA INC., San Diego, has been awarded a contract from White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) to supply a line of high-speed digital camera systems to replace aging 16mm and 35mm high-speed film cameras currently in place. The initial contract is for 26 cameras to replace up to 75 high-speed film cameras.

The U.S. Army’s Fort Hood (Texas) has ordered the Common Criteria certified SecureNet Pro Network Intrusion Prevention/Detection system from INTRUSION INC., Richardson, Texas, to enhance the Army’s capability to automatically block network-based intrusions from outside, Internet-based attacks as well as back-door or Trojan attacks.
