To transform “green” waste into colored mulch, attachment joins forces with horizontal grinder
Color Critter II attaches to companion Beast Recycler horizontal grinders, which slice landscaping debris and wood waste into mulch. Applies oxidizing, granular pigments during final grind of mulch-making process, assuring uniform and long-lasting color. Granular consistency reduces mess associated with liquid colorants, plus wont blow colorant into the air like powdered pigments. Attachment runs off of grinders electrical system, releasing colorant into 2,000-lb.-capacity infeed hopper. Operator can increase or decrease amount and intensity of color applied. After operator programs desired color level, streams of colorant automatically drop onto mulch, based on speed of material traveling through infeed conveyor. Spray nozzles discharge water onto wood to help colorant adhere to mulch and distribute pigment. Second set of nozzles then sprays additional water for coloring dry materials. Uses only about 6 gals. of water per min. to process green waste, and up to 16 gals. per min. when handling dry materials.
