Track-driven tractor pulls scrapers in tandem
Model 4206D/T offers 65,000 lb./ft. of drawbar pull. Pulls up to 3, fully loaded, 18-yd. pull scrapers in tandem over rough terrain. Runs on Tier II, 422-hp. DaimlerChrysler diesel engine. Features 4, track-driven modules for added traction. Each 6,000-lb. module includes a 36-in.-wide continuous rubber tract that minimizes surface damage while providing floatation over adverse conditions. Rubberized idlers and bogies enhance traction and provide for cushioned ride. Adjustable control panel and hydraulics correct throttle, gearing, and power requirements to suit various scraping conditions. Range-hold switching prevents auto-upshifting and gear hunting during hill climbing. Inter-axle lock provides even traction to both axles. Controlled traction differentials distribute balanced torque in proportion to traction demand of individual tracts over extreme terrain and slippery materials. Also tows vibratory compactors around job sites and moves belly-dump and water trailers.
