In December, Friends of the Baytown, Texas, Nature Center unveiled a calendar to raise money — and eyebrows — for the organization. Modeled after the movie “Calendar Girls,” the 12-month spread features color photos of scantily clad local women, posing behind beach balls, picnic baskets, trees and sculptures at the center. The “Nature Mamas,” as they have been dubbed, include school teachers, business leaders and wives of elected officials. The charitable group supports the 450-acre nature center, which includes a butterfly garden, children’s playground, bird sanctuary, fishing piers and wetlands. The calendars can be purchased for $20 at www.naturemamas.com.
