N.H. Agency To Revamp Criminal Offender Systems
The New Hampshire Department of Corrections (DOC) is looking to implement a criminal offender field management system running off an SQL Server database that will allow DOC to manage financial transactions and perform general management functions for the state’s 2,500 inmates and 7,000 offenders on parole or probation.
The system will enable prison facilities and field service officers to share data via the Internet, which will increase effectiveness of offender management functions.
A two-year partnership between the DOC and Computer Associates International was meant to culminate in a custom-built criminal offender field management system, but Computer Associates failed to produce favorable results, so the partnership was terminated and the DOC received a refund of all funds as part of a settlement agreement.
