Only one legislator was against the move, calling it “self-serving” and “unethical.” The raise boosts the annual salary of the nine legislators from $11,440 to $25,920 a year. Additionally, the county executive’s salary will rise from $88,982 to $108,00 a year. http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/news/local/9477387.htm
