Two California water agencies sue feds
The Stockton East Water District and the Central San Joaquin Water Conservation District, both located in San Joaquin County, Calif., have sued the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.
The Stockton East Water District and the Central San Joaquin Water Conservation District, both located in San Joaquin County, Calif., have sued the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. According to The Associated Press (AP), the water agencies “are seeking $500 million for a decade’s worth of water that they say the federal government failed to deliver.” The agencies say the bureau “has failed to deliver 37.5 million gallons a year from New Melones Dam,” the AP adds.
