The Washington, D.C.-based American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) has published a 70-page handbook for concrete pavement repair. The “Concrete Pavement Repair Manual” describes methods and procedures for maintaining and repairing concrete pavements. Tabbed sections of the illustrated book detail full-depth repair, partial depth-repair, subsealing, diamond grinding and load transfer restoration. The publication is based on information co-developed by a committee comprised of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Navy’s Naval Facilities Engineering Command and U.S. Air Force Civil Engineering Support Agency. The book is designed for contractors, consulting engineers and others involved in pavement repair. Copies are available for $24.00 ($8.00 for ACPA members) by calling (800) 868-6733 or by visiting the ACPA’s Web site at www.pavement.com.
