The Washington, D.C.-based National Leagues of Cities (NLC) has launched an effort to help municipal leaders improve high school education. The organization currently is accepting applications from cities for two years of technical assistance. NLC’s Institute for Youth, Education and Families will help selected cities identify their high school needs, assist in the development and implementation of action plans to meet those needs, provide guidance and outside experts, and facilitate the exchange of information and ideas between the selected cities.
