On Dec. 17 the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) will broadcast its activities live on the Internet as it floats the entire arch of a new bridge in La Crosse, Wis., on the Mississippi River and connects it to permanent bridge piers. The arch is 475 feet long, 50 feet wide and 87 feet high. Once complete, the two-lane bridge will span 2,573 feet and will provide better access to downtown La Crosse and Minnesota. Weather permitting, the Webcast will begin at approximately 6:00 a.m. Central Time. To watch the event, visit
