Mid-mount Mowers

John Deere

The 777 and 797 Max-Frame Z-Traks have high-power and wide-deck options. The 777 comes with a 27-hp, liquid-cooled Kawasaki engine, while the 797 features a 29-hp DFI, liquid-cooled Kawasaki engine. Both feature a 1.5″ × 3″ frame and can accommodate either the 60″ or 72″ 7-Iron side-discharge deck. They can mow up to 11 mph and have eight different cutting heights, a 12-gal. fuel tank and a 2-gal. hydraulic oil reservoir.

The Super Z runs up to 15 mph with a 24-hp Honda or 23- and 25-hp Kawasaki engines. It has stainless-steel, high-pressure hydraulic lines with Parker Seal-Lok O-Ring Face Seal fittings. The unit offers twin-lever steering with an automatic park brake system, as well as 52″, 60″ or 72″ side discharge/mulching decks with foot operated deck-lift systems. A 9-bushel BAC-VAC catcher is optional.

Standard features include a hydraulic multi-disc wet PTO clutch, a hydraulic deck lift, a pivoting front axle and a built-in mower lift. The ZD Pro Deck is a seven-gauge steel deck that is 5.5″ deep and offers low noise and a “cut and re-cut” system.

The unit attaches to the Trackless MT V tractor and is designed for cutting in and around ditches, steep inclines and guard rails. It features hydrostatic control of ground speed, 36 cutting blades and a compact size. Its width of cut is 51″, its horizontal reach is 13.5′, its below-grade cut is 53″, its vertical reach is 13.5′, and its weight, including the tractor, is 7,400 lbs.

The 900 Series True ZeroTurn units are powered by 28-hp diesel and 32-hp gasoline engines. They accept DuraMax Decks from 52″ to 72″ as well as large capacity, 15- to 25-cu.-ft. PowerVac collectors. Units have QuickConverter Implement Systems and accessories such as ROPS, dozer blades, snowthrowers, rotary brooms, aerator, sprayers, turbine blowers, detachers and sunshade canopies.

The Groundmaster 4100-D is an all out-front unit based on the 4000-D. It is equipped with a Kubota 60-hp diesel engine and provides three cutting widths: 124″, 89″ and 54″. Full-time, bi-directional four-wheel drive allows for mowing on hills and slippery conditions. Also the unit can mow a 0″ uncut circle without the use of wheel brakes.

Intermediate-sized Mowers

The iZ line offers zero-turn units with compact frames, 200-lb. Warner electric clutches and Advanced Cutting System decks. The iZ4218 has a 42″ cutting width and an 18-hp Kawasaki V-Twin engine. The line also features the iZ4818, the iZ4821 and the iZ5223 models. The series comes with the QuickLift system, which allows the cutting height to adjust between 1.5″ and 5″. They also come with twin 5.7-gal. saddle fuel tanks.

The G Series is designed for the grounds care and municipality markets. The G25 is powered by a 21-hp water-cooled diesel engine, and the G30R is powered by a 23.5-hp water-cooled diesel engine. They feature a front and rear power takeoff and implement hitch. A variety of attachments are available, such as a mower, a front loader, a rear backhoe, a post hole digger and a trencher.
