Title: Essex County Administrator
Salary: $67,881 – $115,593
Job Description: Acts as the chief professional administrative officer of a large urban county. Reports directly to the County Executive, the highest elected County official. Supervises all County Department Directors, attends Freeholders meetings at the direction of the Executive and performs supervisory or administrative duties as deemed appropriate by the County Executive. Serves as County Executive in his/her absence.
Requirements: Masters Degree or equivalent degree in a field related to public administration. At least five (5) years experience in public management with some significant paid or unpaid experience in government. Excellent interpersonal skills are required. Applicant should reside in Essex County or commit to reside in Essex County within 12 months of hiring.
