The City of Bluefield, West Virginia with an annual budget of $7.6 million and 137 employees is seeking a City Manager. This position reports to a 5 member elected Board of Directors and is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the activities of all departments of the City. Examples of job reponsibilities will be to implement departmental policies and procedures, long term and short term plans, objectives and operational guidelines. Applicant must have a strong background in budgeting, administrative leadership, community leadership and organizational development. A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Economics, Finance or business related field (10 years municipal government experience preferred).
