The Metropolitan Government of Nashville, Tennessee is seeking a qualified professional engineer to plan, direct, and supervise the Nashville Stormwater Management Program.
The preferred candidate should possess: a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program, a Tennessee P.E. License or ability to obtain license within 6 months, extensive and progressive stormwater management experience; experience leading a large work group; experience working with elected and appointed officials; experience in setting standards and policies; an ability to analyze and resolve complex administrative and operational problems, exceptional customer service, collaboration, interpersonal and communication and process improvement skills. The preferred candidate should be proactive, responsive, approachable, comfortable with conflict and have technical/professional traits including knowledge of hydraulics, hydrology, regulations (including NPDES, TMDL’s and 401/404), design, construction, and supervisory/management.
