Conference will address state and local IT spending
The National Association of State Chief Information Officers, the National Association of State Telecommunications Directors, American City &County, Primedia Workplace Learning and Federal Computer Week are co-sponsoring a State of the States briefing on March 18 in Washington, D.C.
Presented by McClean, Va.-based FSI, the State of the States conference is an annual event focusing on IT issues facing government officials. This year’s program, “State and Local IT Spending Priorities—The New Reality,” will examine IT needs in the face of Homeland Security and e-government demands.
The panel examining local government issues includes David Molchany, CIO for Fairfax County, Va.; Allisoun Moore, CIO for Montgomery County, Md.; and Norman Jacknis, CIO for Westchester County, N.Y. The conference will include a session about federal funding sources for state and local IT initiatives.
