Construction Engineer I
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs construction inspections and assists with contract administration for the Highway Department to ensure that construction is implemented according to contract plans and specifications. Assists in the review of engineering consultantÕs plans and specifications for development related highway improvements. Performs CADD design on small in-house design projects.
Permit Manager
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Administers the County permit system including Major Access, Minor Access, and facilities permits. Reviews engineering plans to ensure compliance with highway design standards and ordinances. Coordinates and tracks the review of engineering consultantÕs plans and specifications and all permit issues for permit improvements. Assists the engineers and public/builders on design and ordinance questions and conducts field inspections. Coordinates the counties adopt-a-highway and overweight permit programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Both
BachelorÕs degree from a four-year college or university in Civil Engineering; and one to two years of experience.
