The Pennsylvania State Police have launched a Web site that will help local police fight crime and will give residents access to crime statistics for towns, counties, regions, college campuses and the whole state. The Uniform Crime Reporting System Web site was developed by the state police, Information Builders and EDS.
Before the launch of the Web site, the crime data was published only once a year. The Web site will update crime information monthly. Site viewers will be able to track crime, run standard reports for a selected time frame and build their own queries using the site’s data.
