Notary association seeks award nominees
Each year, the National Notary Association, Chatsworth, Calif., seeks to honor the outstanding notary in the country with its Notary of the Year award. This year, the NNA is searching for a very special notary, one who will serve as a role model for the 21st Century and who will inspire future award winners. The association wants to know of notaries who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence or outstanding public service, or who have accomplished something unique. Nominees and nominating individuals are not required to be NNA members.
The Notary of the Year for 2002 must demonstrate the highest degree of public service in one or more of the following areas:
– performance as a Notary Public;
– initiative and public-spiritedness;
– highest ethical standards;
– service to the disadvantaged;
– highly effective procedures; and
– accomplishment that sets an example for notaries and other public officials.
The person selected as Notary of the Year receives an engraved trophy, recognition in National Notary magazine and an expense-paid trip to the National Notary Association conference in June 2002. NNA is accepting applications until September 2001. To request a nomination form, call (800) 876-6827, ext. 405.
