Robert Bohn has been appointed president of the Appleton, Wis., specialty fire apparatus manufacturer.

National Electrical Manufacturers Association

The Rosslyn, Va.-based organization recently honored a number of industry professionals, including Percy Barnevik, chairman and CEO of ABB Asea Brown Boveri, who received the 1996 Bernard H. Falk Award. Other honorees included Harold Leviton, president and CEO of Leviton Manufacturing, Bobby Bowen, vice president and general manager of the Advance Technology Division at GE Medical Systems; James Daly, director of marketing for BICC Cable; Roderic Lee, senior vice president, Sales and Marketing for Lithonia Lighting.

Highway Innovative Technology Evaluation Center

Washington, D.C.-based HITEC, a service center for the Civil Engineering Research Foundation, has announced the appointment of John German as chair of its executive committee. He is currently director of public works in San Antonio, Texas.

Spring City Electrical Manufacturing

Alan Brink has been appointed president of the Spring City, Pa., producer of traditional cast iron outdoor lighting products.

American Society of Civil Engineers

Chenchayya Bathala, technical director of water resources with Holmes & Narver, Orange, Calif., has been elected president of the society’s Orange County branch for 1996-1997.

Florida Transit Association

Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority driver Rodney Harris has been named Driver of the Year by the association, the first time a PSTA driver has won the award. Hardy has been a PSTA driver for 16 years, logging 400,000 miles without an accident. He refused a promotion to supervisor because he did not want to give up contact with the public.

Governmental Accounting Standards Advisory Council

Four new members have been appointed to one-year terms on the Norwalk, Conn.-based council. They are John Brosius, executive director of the Pennsylvania Employees’ Retirement System; Sam McCall, deputy auditor general for the state of Florida; Robert Reardon, investment officer for State Farm Insurance Companies; and Robert Stout, controller of the city of Stamford, Conn.

Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council

Ten new members have been appointed to one-year terms on the council. They are Lynn Browne, senior vice president and director of research, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston; John Ciesielski, president, R.G. Associates; Mark Hamburg, vice president, treasurer and CFO, Berkshire Hathaway; Karen Horn, partner and managing director of international private banking, Bankers Trust; White Matthews, executive vice president of finance and CFO, Union Pacific; Margaret Moore, vice president of investor relations, PepsiCo; Mark Osterberg, vice president and chief accounting officer, Northwest Airlines; John Preis, senior vice president and CFO, YMCA of Greater New York; Ann Reese, executive vice president and CFO, ITT; and Robert Willens, managing director, Lehman Brothers.

Financial Accounting Foundation

Michael Cook, chairman and CEO of Deloitte & Touche LLP, has been re-elected chairman of the board of trustees and president of the Norwalk, Conn., foundation for 1997. Also re-elected was vice president Thomas Jones, executive vice president of Citicorp. Philip Duff, CFO of Morgan Stanley Group, was elected secretary and treaturer. Greta Marshall, principal and founder of The Marshall Plan, and Edward Regan, a distinguished fellow at the Jerome Levy Economics Institute at Bard College, have been elected to the Board of Trustees.

FASCAN International

Bernie Faloney has been promoted to CEO of the Baltimore, Md., importer and distributor of articulated truck-mounted cranes. He has been president since 1992.

New York State Association of Counties

Robert Gregory has been chosen to succeed John Zagame as the association’s executive director. Gregory is currently chief of staff to Nassau County Executive Thomas Gulotta.

Portland Cement Association

Paul Wacko, president of Inland Group, Edmondton, Alberta, has been elected chairman of the Skokie, Ill.-based association’s board of directors. Clarence Comer, president and CEO of Southdown, Houston, is the new vice chairman.
